Women’s Exclusive Group Safari to Kenya ITINERARY

  • Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara

    Today is the start of your safari adventure.

    We will be transferred in late morning by minibus to Wilson Airport for our Charter flight to the Maasai Mara National Park.

    Flight from Wilson to Maasai Mara is around 40 minutes

    We will be met by a Speke’s Camp guide on arrival and have a mini-game drive as we make our way to the camp.

    Check into your rooms, enjoy a light lunch and then relax around the camp until our afternoon game drive exploring the Maasai Mara.

  • Day 2: Maasai Mara

    Wake up early to morning chorus as the birds start to rise. We’ll head out before sunrise on game drive to explore the Maasai Mara and its incredible wildlife

    We’ll take a picnic breakfast to enjoy on the go or by the river depending on what we’re seeing.

    Arrive back around 11ish for some relaxation, lunch and time to enjoy the camp.

    Around 4pm we’ll head out again for an afternoon gamedrive, sundowners on the plains.

    Dinner back at camp.

  • Day 3: Maasai Mara

    Enjoy another day of game drives and relaxing around the camp before your trekking adventure begins.

  • Day 4: Hike the Great Rift Valley

    Enjoy a morning game drive or relax and enjoy breakfast at camp before the trek begins.

    You’ll then drive into the hills to meet the team at Morijo.

    A 3-hour hike takes you to the first camp. River Camp in the Ol Lasur Valley.

    Once at camp, you'll be welcomed by cool drinks and warm smiles.

    Settle into the evening with hot showers, then stories around the campfire under the stars. Experience your first night along the trails; hidden, hot water bottles are a nice surprise as you jump into your cotton sheets and comfortable mattress.

  • Day 5: Hike the Great Rift Valley

    Leaving River Camp around 10.00, you walk to Oltyiani, the highest point in the Loita overlooking the Rift Valley, with the chance to visit the Oltyiani waterfall.

    A leisurely walk takes you across beautiful views and scenery.

    Stop for lunch around 12.30, with stunning views overlooking the Rift Valley.

    Arrive at camp at approximately 4-5pm, welcome with cool drinks, and watch as the sun sets over the Rift Valley.

    The morning and afternoon walks are both around 3 hours long.

  • Day 6: Hike the Rift Valley

    Enjoy a hot drink and breakfast before setting off on your hike. Donkey loads are packed and weighed, and the camp is broken down and packed into the donkey caravan for the hike to the next campsite.

    The hike takes you from the highest point in the forest, stepping into open glades and into the Ngurumans.

    The trail will lead you down an old cattle/animal track into the Great Rift Valley. Where the campground is cleared, a small thorn Kraal is erected for the donkeys and the campfires are lit, tents are set up and the bush kitchen is prepared for your arrival.

    Settle into camp overlooking spectacular visual sensations across the N’guruman Escarpment at 2,400 meters, views stretch for miles around you as you.

  • Day 7: Shompole Conservancy

    After an early breakfast, it will be time to say good bye to your camp crew.

    A 3 hour hike takes you on a final step down into the rift, to Enkomongo.

    A vehicle will be meet you and drive us to Shompole Wilderness in Shompole Conservation to have two days relaxing and enjoy the camps activities.

    On arrival we will check into our rooms before a beautiful buffet lunch and an afternoon of relaxing or enjoying the many activities on offer.

  • Day 8: Shompole Conservancy

    A day at leisure.

    The camp offers multiple activities such as walks, game drives, fishing in the river, tubing when the river is high enough, photography hide and incredible Maasai homestead visits, some of the most authentic and relaxed i have visited.

    We will discuss what everyone would like to do the evening before and arrange the day accordingly.

    A sumptuous BBQ dinner around the fire to round off our trip and drinks under the African sky for your last night

  • Day 9: Back to Nairobi & Home

    After breakfast we will check out of Shompole and jump into the vehicles for our transfer back to Nairobi.

    Drive is around 2 - 2.5 hours depending on traffic and gives you a chance to see Kenyans going about their lives as you drive through the villages and towns.

    Depening on when you fly home we will drop you will be transferred back to the airport, for those who’s flights aren’t until the evening we will visit the Giraffe Centre and then have one last dinner before heading to the airport.
